Sage is a perennial subshrub with a woody stem, grayish leaves and nice purple flowers that belongs to the mint family and grows mainly in the Mediterranean region. To use sage as a digestive tonic, drink 3 cups of sage tea a day. If you’re suffering from anxiety or gynecological problems, drink 1 cup of sage tea a day.

To treat paralysis and rheumatism, soak in a hot tub of water with 2 handfuls of sage leaves 2-3 times a week, and to accelerate the healing of wounds, mix some honey with sage tincture and apply the mixture over the wound. To treat fungal infections, soak in a bath with sage leaves or apply a sage poultice over the wound. Rubbing sage oil on the affected area can be helpful in cases of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
